There have been violent scenes in the Romanian capital Bucharest between police and protestors demonstrating over health service cuts. Nine people were injured, as officers used tear gas while some in the crowd threw petrol bombs. Thousands have been taking to the streets across the country, angry at more government austerity measures needed to get new financial help from the International Monetary Fund.
